The Mosaic Collective Build-Out
Widen the Circle. Create with Intention. Build Something New.
Meet Our Founder
Hi!
I am Krisette Cole, founder of The Mosaic Collective. Welcome!
At Mosaic, education and truth fuel the fires of justice. We make every effort to see all of our students on purpose, acknowledging their unique, intentional design in a way that builds and points them toward light and purpose. And while we are human and flawed and will make mistakes, our hearts are pointed in the direction of equity and inclusion at every turn.
While my personal journey began with a single 'why,' this About Us page serves as the story of our collective 'how'—a high-level look at who we are, the specific needs we exist to meet, and the ways we are intentionally redesigning the educational ecosystem in our corner of the world.
Together we can reinvent home education.
Together, we can chase the dream of intentional inclusion.
Together, we can empower our children to thrive.
Together, we can create a narrative of strength, resilience, and academic excellence.
We can do all this and more.
But only - Together.

The Problem: A Fragmented Educational Landscape
While the movement toward alternative education in North Texas is growing, the current landscape remains fragmented. For many families—particularly those in minority communities—the search for a learning environment that offers academic excellence, cultural inclusion, and authentic connection often leads to a dead end.
Existing models frequently fall short in three critical areas:
The Secondary Gap: A lack of accredited, high-level pathways for junior high and high school students often forces families back into traditional systems they prefer to avoid.
The Resource Divide: Families who prioritize child-centered learning or "un-schooling" in the early years often find themselves without the strategic support needed to bridge academic gaps as their children mature.
The Cultural Void: Many co-operative environments lack the intentional diversity and inclusive frameworks necessary for a modern, global education.
We believe that parental choice is a right, but choice without quality is not a solution. The community deserves an alternative that is as rigorous as it is inclusive.
The Solution: The Mosaic Collective Ecosystem
Mosaic is building something different. We have reimagined the educational experience not as a single path, but as a Collective Ecosystem—a multi-generational space designed to support the "full family impact." By integrating four distinct pillars under one roof, we ensure that every child finds their perfect fit without compromising on excellence or community.
1. The Hybrid Academy: An Ecosystem of Excellence
For families seeking the perfect blend of structure and flexibility, our Academy provides a rigorous, accredited academic pathway. We bridge the gap between home and school, offering high-level instruction that prepares students for the future while honoring the family unit's autonomy.
2. The Homeschool Co-op: Connection Without Compromise
Our Co-op is the heartbeat of our collaborative community. It offers families the freedom of a la carte learning and parent-led partnership, ensuring that "child-centered" never means "resource-limited." Here, cultural inclusion isn’t an add-on; it is the foundation of how we learn together.
3. Arts & Wellness: Flourishing in Mind and Body
Education is incomplete without the health of the whole child. Our custom Wellness Curriculum is woven into instructor training, curriculum choice, daily touchpoints, and real time mental health support. Our "Pay-What-You-Can" Arts & Wellness programming ensures that music, movement, and mental well-being are accessible to all, fostering a community where every student has the tools to flourish emotionally and creatively.
4. The Flex Space: Empowering the Full Family
Mosaic is more than a school; it is a hub for the modern family. Our Flex Space provides a dedicated environment for parents to work, collaborate, and grow alongside their children. By supporting the parent, we strengthen the student, creating a sustainable model for long-term educational success.
At Mosaic, we aren't just filling gaps; we are cultivating a community where academic rigor meets cultural authenticity. Welcome to the Collective.
Our Growth Cycle
We aren’t just dreaming of change; we are building it. Our Growth Phases outline a strategic framework for our contributions to the North Texas educational landscape. By scaling through deliberate stages, we are evolving from a vibrant community co-op into a full-week, multi-generational educational ecosystem.
Our Operational Framework
We view faith and operations as inseperable. We use 2 Timothy 1:7 as our operational lever to ensure we meet the criteria of Education Without Erasure through the pathways of power, love, and a sound mind.
We are committed to a permissionless ecosystem that removes bureaucratic barriers (Love), ensuring our families serve as the co-architects of every solution. By prioritizing operational rigor over emotional assumptions, we build a resilient infrastructure that upholds exceptional standards (Sound Mind). We do not simply iterate on broken systems; we use radical imagination to empower our students and parents as transformational thought leaders, (Power) building a new architecture for educational justice.

Our Guiding Values
Every person is valuable to God.
We believe that every person is valuable to God. Full stop! God made us to bear His image. We embrace the nuances that make us unique and lean into, not away from, the cultural and individual richness that represents each of our students, staff, and volunteers. We see, accept, and love you on purpose.
We equip our students to walk in power, love, and a sound mind.
We believe every student's powerful story deserves a language, and the arts provide it; by merging self-authorship with strategic wellness, we guide students to a life defined by resilience, connection, and a sound mind.
Partnership with parents is vital to success in education.
We believe that family is a child's first, best, and most consistent educator. We honor the sacred role of parents as guides and mentors, holding their child's safety and well-being as our highest priority. Our instructors are committed to supporting this vision, using their expertise to provide a clear path to help each child meet their goals.
We empower our students to question, create, and lead.
We believe that every child possesses unique, boundless potential. We believe education must go beyond simply acquiring knowledge; it should teach students to apply their gifts to the world around them. Our goal is to empower learners to question, create, and lead—to become the architects of their own lives and active contributors to a more just society.
